Maybe not eating what I want when I want is draining me. I don't know. I just feel really lack-luster again today. For the first 2-3 weeks of the program you are not supposed to work out if you are not on a regular exercise plan, but if you are you're supposed to slow down for a bit until your body is used to the diet.
Last week I was really annoyed with not being able to work out because I felt like I already had energy and was READY-TO-GO!! But since the start of this week I just want to climb into bed and watch movies or maybe a TV series all the way through. Any suggestions on good shows I can watch from beginning to end? I've already done it with Sex and the City, Arrested Development, Skins (UK version currently in season 4), L Word....I know there are more shows I've seen every episode of but I can't think of them right now. You know what? No, don't send me ideas. I need to focus on other things....like being skinny.
I think tonight I'll start working out even though I haven't gotten the all clear. I'm just feeling sluggish and am excited to maximize my results. A few months ago my former roommate told me about a yoga site she was using. She would always be holed up in her room working out and had mentioned a membership based yoga site, so that's where I'm going to start. It's called Yogaglo and it's $18 a month to stream yoga at your own pace. It'll be a good way to slowly build up into working out and I've always wanted to get more into yoga....especially learning to relax instead of smoking cigarettes. So that's my plan for now... slowly start doing yoga at the beginner level and take a walk around my neighborhood at night.
Also, I made the Flank Steak recipe again. Only this time I didn't get any summer squash (too bland and I forgot to grab it at the grocery store) and I actually got Flank steak which was clearly much leaner than the stuff I got last time. I added a bit of my own seasoning... really just seasoned salt and meat tenderizer instead of regular salt to the steak (still used fresh ground pepper) and threw a little seasoned salt in with the pepper, garlic, and veggies. I must say I did much better than last time. At some point I'll branch out beyond the 2 recipes I've made for the past 3 weeks. I'm hoping to make this one crock-pot dish, a soup, and some fish (probably last since I don't really like much fish besides salmon... or so I think).
I have enough for 2 more nights. Hip Hip......
