So here's the scoop. Last Thursday I had my 4th weigh in. Once a month you have the full body check-up (you get on an in-body machine which measures you fat, water, yadda yadda, I'm not really sure). Each week you just get one the scale but for the monthlies they do the whole nine yards including measurements. So in week 4 I lost 3.5 pounds and according to my measurements I lost 10.5 inches. Hooray! The week before I also go the go ahead to work out, but I hadn't quite gotten myself together enough to get started, and when I told my Medifast counselor that she gave me a look like "um, you're fat. You can't afford to not have time." But really she said "well, I thought you were going to start..." Well look, Lady! I didn't. Get off me!
So feeling bad I got myself in gear. I went home. Set up my Yogaglo account and did some jumping jacks, squats, sit ups and crunches then did 60 minutes of yoga. The next day I went rock climbing and did some yoga again, and then Saturday went for a bike ride, and Sunday went rock climbing again. I was feeling good and my forearms felt JACKED. But when Monday rolled around I got a little nervous, and rightfully so as you will see soon.
Tuesday and Wednesday I was scheduled to be in Orlando for work (going to see the resort we are staying at for our annual conference in January and plan out the rooms).
I knew we'd be walking around quite a bit and I knew the rooms didn't have microwaves. So being proactive, I swung my Medifast on Monday during my lunch break and picked up some easy snacks. Stuff that didn't need to be mixed or warmed up, bars and snacks I could have in my purse. Well, that was fine until we go to the hotel Tuesday afternoon after what felt like an exhausting morning. We went up to our rooms just to put our bags down so we could go and grab lunch, and guess what was waiting for me in my room?
No. I couldn't even wait to eat one before taking the picture. I proceeded to try and leave my room 4 times before turning around and eating one more... I finally left my room when I had one left and of course I ate it as soon as I returned to my room around 9pm.
After lunch we had back to back meetings with some of the coordinators of the resort; catering, accommodations, conference management, recreation, Disney packages, and on and on. Around 7 we headed out for dinner to try out the place we would eat at once all the staff for my organization arrived on the first night. We went to Cafe Tutu Tango and it was the coolest place I'd ever been to. Definitely would be one of my regular places if I lived in Orlando. It's like Busboys and Poets on crack. The decor is bright artwork covering the wall and it is ALL for sale, plus artists are scattered around the restaurant, creating things right in front of you. A live band was setting up as we got there, there was a tarot card reader, and on most nights they have some sort of entertainment that goes around the tables, like belly dancers. I found two really cute pieces (one for $45 and one for $60.. there were more I would have loved to buy but they were too rich for my blood) and the artist of one of them was even there.
So after devouring some delicious food at Tutu Tango, we headed back to the hotel, I ate my last strawberry and headed to the pool for a short swim before Parenthood came on. The temp was perfect and I pretty much had this one section of the Grotto to myself.
Wednesday night we came home, and it was time for me to refocus yet again. I had my weigh in the next day!
So yesterday was my weigh-in. I gained 2 lbs.
So in total I have lost 7.4 lbs to date. Something like that.
I'm trying to stick with the white fishes since they are the leanest, and a little chicken here and there just so I don't get sick of constantly eating fish. Last night I made a spicy tilapia with tomatoes and spinach. Tilapia is surprisingly cheap!!

Finished product!
Well, that's all for now, kids. Wish me luck on getting lots of exercise in this weekend and getting my butt in gear. Hoping to get in a long bike ride, maybe a long walk, and definitely going for a climb today after work.
